The ex-wife of popular Lagos-based pastor, Chris Okafor, has issued a detailed rebuttal to his recent claims that she was caught cheating, alleging instead that he engaged in rampant infidelity with married women in his congregation and was physically abusive.
In a social media post, the woman, whose identity is known to this publication but is withheld for ethical reasons, stated she married Okafor at 18 and had four children with him before their separation.
She challenged him to present evidence of her alleged infidelity, declaring, “He said he caught me cheating, he should bring out the man I cheated with.”
In her account, she accused Okafor of repeatedly impregnating women, including married deaconesses in his church, and claimed he once assaulted her. She also alleged that he had sexual contact with their 14-year-old daughter—a claim she says was reported to her by the child.
She further stated that over ten women had children for him during their marriage and that he used financial influence to gain custody of their children during divorce proceedings.
Her statement comes hours after Okafor told his congregation he had caught his ex-wife with another man in their home.
