Abia Central APC Stakeholders Unite, Endorse Atuma for Senate Ahead of 2027 Primaries

Fresh political momentum is building in Abia Central Senatorial District as stakeholders and party faithfuls from the four local government areas out of the six local Government area that make up Abia central have endorsed Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma for the 2027 Senate race under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The endorsement followed a strategic consultation meeting held across Ikwuano, Umuahia North, Umuahia South, and Isialangwa South LGAs, where representatives unanimously urged party leaders to support Atuma’s candidacy. The stakeholders and party faithfuls evaluated rt.Hon Emeka Atuma based on his performance, credibility, and political influence.

Atuma, who represented Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007, was praised for his legislative contributions, including two bills that evolved into key government agencies—landmarks that positioned Nigeria prominently in global ecological and economic discussions.

The stakeholders also commended his loyalty to the APC, noting that he remained committed during the party’s early years in Abia when it lacked grassroots support. They contrasted his record and praised his discipline .

“His outstanding performance in just one term matches what many have not achieved in multiple terms,” a stakeholder said.

They expressed confidence that Atuma’s candidacy would strengthen APC’s chances in Abia Central and boost the party’s electoral prospects in the 2027 general elections.
