UMUAHIA, NIGERIA — Residents of Abia State have commended Seyi Tinubu for his impactful youth empowerment drive under the “City Boy Movement,” describing it as a timely intervention in addressing youth development challenges in the South-East.
The initiative, which has gained traction across the region, focuses on equipping young people with skills, mentorship, and opportunities aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and self-reliance. Beneficiaries and community stakeholders say the program is helping to reshape mindsets and provide pathways to economic independence.
Many youths who participated in the empowerment activities expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that it has exposed them to new opportunities in business, digital innovation, and leadership development. According to them, such programs are critical in tackling unemployment and social vices.
Community leaders and stakeholders also lauded the movement for promoting inclusiveness and engaging young people at the grassroots level. They emphasized that sustainable youth empowerment remains key to long-term regional development.
Observers say the City Boy Movement is gradually becoming a platform for mobilizing young Nigerians toward productivity and nation-building. They added that consistent support and expansion of such initiatives could significantly impact the socio-economic landscape of the South-East.
As momentum continues to build, calls have been made for increased collaboration between private initiatives and government agencies to scale up youth-focused programs across Nigeria.
