The Renewed Hope Academics Forum (RHAF) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his decisive intervention in resolving the prolonged faceoff between the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government.
In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Dr. Chiedozie Atuonwu, the forum applauded Tinubu’s pragmatic and statesmanlike approach, which it said has restored stability to Nigeria’s university system after decades of recurrent strikes and academic disruption.
RHAF highlighted the administration’s constructive engagement with ASUU, honoring agreements and prioritizing dialogue, as key factors that ended the longstanding industrial dispute.
The group noted that the resolution aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda and reflects the government’s commitment to rebuilding trust in public institutions and investing in human capital development.
RHAF expressed confidence that the breakthrough will usher in uninterrupted academic calendars, improved research, and renewed confidence among students, parents, and education stakeholders.
