A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abia State, Chief Chukwunma Nnochirian, has called for unity and consensus among contenders ahead of the Ikwuano Development Union federated election scheduled for December 29.
Chief Nnochirian, who is also a contender for the Abia Central Senatorial seat, made the appeal in a statement on Saturday .
He emphasized that leadership should be viewed as selfless service rather than an opportunity for power grab, urging all aspirants to prioritize the collective interest of Ikwuano.
“We are one and need to see leadership as selfless service and not for power grab,” he stated. The ADC chieftain tasked all aspirants to work towards unity and consensus to ensure a peaceful and successful election that would foster development in the area.
