The Anambra State Government has sealed several hostels, churches, and a market for allegedly violating environmental sanitation regulations as part of its ongoing campaign to promote public health and maintain a cleaner environment.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that officials carried out the enforcement exercise after inspections reportedly revealed poor sanitation conditions and breaches of environmental health standards at the affected facilities.
According to the authorities, the action is aimed at ensuring strict compliance with sanitation laws and protecting residents from health risks associated with unhygienic environments. Operators of the affected premises were directed to address the identified deficiencies before the facilities could be reopened.
The government reiterated its commitment to enforcing environmental regulations across the state and warned that individuals and organisations that fail to comply with sanitation requirements would face appropriate sanctions.
