The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered 43,980 capsules of tramadol concealed inside modified vehicle fuel tanks in a major anti-drug operation aimed at curbing illicit drug trafficking across the country.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the illicit drugs were discovered during a routine intelligence-led operation by NDLEA operatives, who intercepted the suspects and recovered the concealed tramadol before it could be distributed.
According to the agency, the smugglers used specially modified fuel tanks in an attempt to evade security checks. However, vigilant operatives uncovered the hidden compartments and seized the drugs.
