Awka, Anambra State — The Anambra State Police Command has intensified surveillance and confidence-building patrols across the state as part of renewed efforts to strengthen security, deter criminal activities and reassure residents.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the increased patrols are being carried out in strategic locations, including major roads, residential communities and other vulnerable areas. The initiative is aimed at improving public safety, enhancing rapid response to security threats and maintaining law and order.
The police command urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information that could help prevent crime. It also assured the public of its commitment to protecting lives and property through proactive policing.
“The Command has intensified surveillance and confidence-building patrols across the state to ensure the safety of residents and sustain peace. Members of the public are encouraged to remain security conscious and report suspicious activities to the nearest police formation,” the police said in a statement.
The command reiterated its resolve to sustain the operations in collaboration with other security agencies and community stakeholders, expressing confidence that the enhanced patrols would further improve security across Anambra State.
