APC’s Eric Opah Hosts Abia Assembly Aspirants, Rallies Party for 2027 Victory After Primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Abia State, Chief Eric Opah, has taken a decisive step toward party cohesion and reconciliation, hosting House of Assembly aspirants from the recently concluded APC primaries at his country home in a meeting widely described as timely, inclusive, and politically significant.

Addressing the aspirants with calm authority and genuine warmth, Chief Opah appealed for patience, understanding, and renewed commitment to the party’s mission — acknowledging that primaries naturally generate emotions and disappointments but stressing that the bigger prize of rescuing Abia State from what he called a propaganda-driven government must remain the collective focus.

“Abia State is at a critical crossroads and urgently requires leadership founded on truth, accountability, transparency, and people-oriented governance,” Opah declared, drawing loud affirmations from the assembled aspirants.

He painted a vivid picture of what Abia people are crying out for — genuine development, job creation, economic empowerment, improved infrastructure, workers’ welfare, youth engagement, enhanced security, and prudent management of public resources — positioning the APC as the vehicle capable of delivering this vision.

Opah issued a firm but fatherly caution to aggrieved aspirants, warning against the dangerous temptation of making political decisions in anger — reminding them that politicians who abandoned their parties in frustration historically ended up politically isolated and ultimately abandoned by those they sought refuge with.

He urged all internal grievances to be resolved through dialogue and mutual respect, stressing that unity within the APC is non-negotiable ahead of 2027.

The aspirants responded with remarkable enthusiasm — collectively pledging to set aside primary grievances, resist external attempts to exploit internal tensions, and work hand-in-hand with Opah’s campaign towards a historic APC victory in Abia State.

Closing on a powerful note of commitment, Chief Opah assured all present that his administration, if elected in 2027, would govern with inclusiveness, fiscal discipline, transparency, and an unshakeable commitment to the people of Abia State — ensuring public funds serve the people and not private interests.
