Rep. Emeka Atuma, the APC candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District, has outlined his legislative agenda ahead of the 2027 elections during an interactive programme on Love FM.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that Atuma highlighted his previous tenure at the House of Representatives (2003–2007), recalling his establishment of a functional constituency office praised by then Abia Chief of Staff, Chief T.A. Orji. He pledged to continue his tour of the 108 electoral wards in Abia Central to identify priority projects.
Addressing the deplorable state of rural roads in Osisioma Ngwa, Atuma noted that improving access to farmlands is critical for the predominantly agrarian communities. He promised to pursue practical interventions by collaborating with federal agencies like the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to attract development.
On infrastructure, he emphasized the need for federal-state synergy, citing the reconstruction of the Ikot Ekpene Road as a success story. He commended both President Bola Tinubu and the Abia State Government for their contributions and urged residents to support the President.
Atuma also referenced his 2006 motion for a constitutional amendment on local government administration, stressing that constructive collaboration between all tiers of government is essential for grassroots development. He reaffirmed his commitment to accessible and accountable representation as the 2027 political season approaches.
