As political activities ahead of the 2027 governorship election continue to gather momentum, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Abia State, Chief Eric Opah, has continued to promote his economic vision through engagements with development partners.
According to a statement from his camp, Opah recently met with the Ambassador of the European Union to Nigeria, His Excellency Gautier Mignot, at the European Union Delegation in Abuja, where he presented what he described as a roadmap for Abia’s economic renewal.
The statement said the meeting focused on exploring areas of cooperation aimed at attracting investment, promoting industrialisation, supporting agricultural value chains, encouraging private sector participation, and creating employment opportunities for young people in the state.
Supporters of the APC candidate said the engagement reflects his commitment to building strategic international partnerships capable of driving sustainable economic growth. They argued that his vision is centred on creating a business-friendly environment, strengthening local industries, empowering entrepreneurs, and positioning Abia as a competitive investment destination.
