Final Evacuation Flight from South Africa to Return 315 Nigerians on Wednesday

The Federal Government has announced that the final evacuation flight from South Africa will return 315 stranded Nigerians to the country on Wednesday, bringing the latest phase of the repatriation exercise to a close.

CDA News Nigeria gathered that the evacuation is part of ongoing efforts by the Nigerian government to assist citizens affected by recent developments in South Africa. Relevant government agencies, working with Nigerian diplomatic officials, coordinated the exercise to ensure the safe return of the evacuees.

According to officials, the returnees will arrive in Nigeria aboard the final chartered flight under the current evacuation programme. Arrangements have also been made to receive and provide necessary support for the passengers upon arrival.

The government commended Nigerian officials in South Africa and other stakeholders who contributed to the successful coordination of the evacuation. It also reassured Nigerians abroad of its commitment to protecting their welfare and providing assistance during emergencies.

CDA News Nigeria reports that the repatriation exercise follows previous evacuation flights that brought hundreds of Nigerians back home. Authorities have urged returning citizens to cooperate with relevant agencies to facilitate a smooth reintegration process.
