Ex-Abia Speaker Chinedum Orji Declares for Ikwuano/Umuahia Reps Seat

Umuahia, Abia State – Former Speaker of the 7th Abia State House of Assembly, Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Orji, who will be running on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made the declaration during a Good Friday gathering at his residence in Umuahia, where he addressed a large number of supporters who paid him a visit.

Speaking at the event, the former Speaker said his decision was driven by a strong desire to continue serving the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia at the national level. He emphasized his commitment to effective representation, development, and empowerment of constituents.

“I have taken this step after deep reflection and consultation with my supporters and stakeholders. My aim is to offer quality representation and attract meaningful development to our constituency,” he stated.
