Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has approved ₦120 million for serving military personnel and an additional ₦20 million for the Nigerian Legion as part of measures to support the armed forces and appreciate their sacrifices.
Speaking during the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Uyo, Governor Eno commended President Bola Tinubu for tackling insecurity decisively and urged the military to rally around the president’s efforts.
He also announced plans to build 150 lock-up stores and provide take-off grants for widows of fallen military, police, and paramilitary personnel to ensure long-term economic stability.
