The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed rumours suggesting it may not participate in the 2027 general election due to ongoing internal litigations.
National Publicity Secretary Comrade Ini Ememobong described the speculation as unfounded, emphasizing that there is no legal or institutional barrier preventing the party from contesting.
He cited the party’s successful submission of candidates for the Abuja Area Councils election, which were accepted by INEC, as proof of its legal standing.
Ememobong also clarified that the nullification of the PDP’s Ekiti governorship primary was due to procedural issues, not a threat to the party’s eligibility, and the matter is now before the Court of Appeal.
