Ikeja Electric has announced the appointment of Mrs. Ogochukwu Onyelucheya as its Acting Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2026. The appointment follows the transition of the company’s current CEO, Mrs. Folake Soetan, who is moving to a broader strategic role within the energy sector.
The company said the leadership change is part of efforts to strengthen its management structure and position the organization for greater innovation, operational efficiency, and improved customer service.
In a statement issued by the Head of Corporate Communications, Kingsley Okotie, Ikeja Electric expressed confidence in Onyelucheya’s ability to lead the company through its next phase of growth and transformation.
The appointment comes as Nigeria’s largest electricity distribution company continues to pursue initiatives aimed at enhancing power supply, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business growth.
Industry stakeholders have described the development as a significant leadership transition within Nigeria’s power sector, noting that continuity and innovation will remain critical to addressing the challenges facing electricity distribution in the country.
Mrs. Onyelucheya is expected to officially assume her new role on July 1, 2026.
