Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Releases UTME Mock Results, Delists 20 Centres

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock exercise, while also delisting 20 computer-based test centres across the country.

According to JAMB, the mock examination was conducted to test the board’s readiness for the main UTME and to familiarize candidates with the computer-based testing system. Candidates who participated in the exercise have been advised to check their results through official JAMB channels.

The board disclosed that the affected centres were removed from the system due to technical deficiencies, poor performance, and failure to meet required operational standards during the mock exercise. It emphasized that the decision was necessary to ensure a seamless and credible examination process for candidates in the main UTME.

JAMB reassured candidates and the general public of its commitment to maintaining high standards in the conduct of its examinations, adding that only centres that meet strict accreditation criteria will be allowed to participate going forward.

The board also warned operators of computer-based test centres to adhere strictly to its guidelines or risk sanctions, including suspension or permanent delisting.

Education stakeholders have welcomed the move, noting that early identification and removal of underperforming centres would help reduce technical disruptions and enhance the credibility of the examination process.
