The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has firmly denied allegations that terrorists or criminal elements are being recruited into the Nigerian Armed Forces.
In a statement issued by the military high command, the DHQ described the claims as false, misleading, and capable of undermining public confidence in the nation’s security institutions. The military emphasized that its recruitment process remains rigorous, transparent, and guided by strict background checks to ensure only qualified and law-abiding Nigerians are enlisted.
