“Adesanya-Davies Hails PFN for Courageous Stand for Peace and Justice in Nigeria”

Renowned clergywoman, peace advocate, and former presidential candidate, Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, has publicly commended the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) for its courageous and prophetic stand for peace, justice, and the protection of Christian values across Nigeria.
Speaking from Abuja on May 25, 2026, Prof. Adesanya-Davies praised the PFN for providing moral and spiritual leadership during one of Nigeria’s most turbulent democratic periods.

“The Church must continue to stand as the light of the nation. PFN has remained consistent in promoting peace, unity, righteousness and godly leadership,” she declared.

The respected peace ambassador stressed that peaceful protests and lawful civic expressions remain constitutional rights that must be exercised responsibly and without violence, urging Nigerian youths and Christian leaders to shun hate speech and destruction of public property during any civic demonstrations.

She lamented Nigeria’s growing insecurity, kidnappings, and economic hardship, calling for sincere national dialogue and people-oriented governance.
Quoting 2 Chronicles 7:14, she declared: “If my people…shall humble themselves and pray…then will I hear from heaven and will heal their land.”
Prof. Adesanya-Davies also urged Muslim bodies to emulate PFN’s peaceful advocacy, warning that no group is being spared from Nigeria’s current challenges.
