The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of JX Group, Dr Chibudom Jephthah Chigozirim, has extended warm greetings to Nigerians as the country marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, while welcoming the new month of October with a message of hope, growth and shared prosperity.
In a goodwill message released to mark the occasion, Dr Chigozirim urged Nigerians to remain committed to building a stronger and more prosperous nation, stressing the importance of innovation, impact and shared growth.
He also expressed optimism that the new month would bring renewed opportunities, achievements and progress to individuals, businesses and communities across the country.
According to the message, October should serve as a period for reflection on Nigeria’s journey since independence and a renewed commitment to the values capable of advancing national development.
The JX Group Chairman highlighted the importance of innovation and responsible leadership in creating opportunities and improving the lives of citizens.
The message also reflects JX Group’s corporate philosophy of “Innovation • Impact • Shared Growth,” which the company identifies as central to its vision.
Dr Chigozirim called on Nigerians to continue working together despite the challenges facing the country, emphasising unity, resilience and collective responsibility as important ingredients for sustainable development.
“Together for a Greater Tomorrow,” the message stated, expressing confidence in the possibilities that lie ahead for Nigeria.
Nigeria gained independence from British colonial rule on October 1, 1960, and marks its 66th anniversary in 2026.
