UMUAHIA — The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has extended greetings to constituents and Nigerians as the country enters the month of October.
In a goodwill message marking the beginning of the new month and Nigeria’s Independence anniversary, Orji wished residents of the constituency and Nigerians continued peace, progress and prosperity.
The message, contained in a public graphic, features the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly alongside Nigerian national symbols and a map of the country.
Orji is seeking election to the House of Representatives for the Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency on the APC platform in 2027. His campaign platform identifies quality representation, infrastructure and federal development, youth employment and enterprise, education, healthcare and inclusion among its stated priorities.
The former Abia Assembly Speaker has previously served as Majority Leader and Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly. His campaign says his legislative experience forms part of the case he is presenting to voters ahead of the 2027 election.
Orji’s October message comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with candidates and political groups increasingly using public engagements and goodwill messages to communicate with constituents.
The APC candidate was reported in September as having been recognised as the party’s candidate for the federal constituency following the publication of the relevant electoral list.
As Nigeria marks its Independence anniversary, the message also places emphasis on national unity and the country’s continued development.
CDA News Nigeria reports that the October message is both a seasonal goodwill gesture and part of the broader public engagement surrounding the 2027 political season in Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia South.
