Kwara NCoS Holds Historic Decoration for 391 Promoted Officers

ILORIN – The Kwara State Command of the Nigerian Corrections Service (NCoS) on Tuesday decorated 391 officers recently promoted in the largest single promotion exercise in the history of the command.

The event, held at the Command Headquarters in Ilorin, was presided over by the State Controller of Corrections, Tolorunshagba Femi Emmanuel, and attended by representatives of sister security agencies, government officials, retired officers, and families of the promoted personnel.

Promoted officers include:

· 1 Deputy Controller of Corrections
· 5 Assistant Controllers
· 14 Chief Superintendents
· 25 Superintendents
· 91 Deputy Superintendents
· 74 Assistant Superintendents I
· 54 Assistant Superintendents II
· 13 Inspectors
· 30 Chief Correctional Assistants
· 44 Senior Correctional Assistants
· 40 Correctional Assistants I

In his address, Controller Emmanuel congratulated the officers and urged them to justify their elevation through increased professionalism, discipline, and dedication to the service’s mandate.

He also commended the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Controller-General of Corrections, Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche, for their commitment to staff welfare and institutional development.

The ceremony featured the commissioning of the command’s first photo stand, symbolizing a new phase of operational and administrative visibility.
