A multi-vehicle crash has triggered heavy traffic congestion on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, leaving hundreds of motorists stranded as emergency responders worked to clear the affected section of the highway.
CDA News Nigeria independently verified that the crash disrupted the free flow of traffic, resulting in a prolonged gridlock along one of Nigeria’s busiest highways.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the accident involved several vehicles, although the exact number and the cause of the crash were yet to be officially confirmed at the time of filing this report. Officials and emergency personnel were seen managing traffic and removing damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Motorists were advised to remain patient, obey traffic officials and, where possible, use alternative routes to avoid further delays while clearance operations continued.
