Nigeria Shines Globally: Tinubu Congratulates NIPR President Dr. Neliaku as Institute Emerges World’s Best PR Association

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) has extended warm congratulations to the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and its President and Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku, following the Institute’s historic emergence as the Year 2025 Global Public Relations Association of the Year at the prestigious World Public Relations and Communication Awards held in Lisbon, Portugal.

The Institute was adjudged the best PR association in the world following a highly competitive process that attracted 89 entries from 19 countries on February 19, 2026, in a remarkable feat that has placed Nigeria firmly on the global map of professional communications excellence.

In a congratulatory statement released by Presidential Spokesperson Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu commended Dr. Ike Neliaku and Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, for their exemplary leadership and commitment that culminated in the Institute’s landmark global honour, describing the achievement as a resounding endorsement of Nigeria’s growing influence and professionalism within the global public relations and strategic communications ecosystem.

President Tinubu noted that the award reflects the transformative reforms and international engagement championed by NIPR, as well as the enabling policy direction and institutional support provided by the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation under Minister Idris’s leadership.

The President expressed confidence that NIPR will sustain its trajectory of excellence, innovation, and integrity in professional practice, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to supporting institutions that project Nigeria positively and contribute to national development through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.

The recognition positions Nigeria as a global pacesetter in ethical communication, public trust-building, and national reputation management.
