ABIA, NIGERIA — A serving Nigerian Army Lance Corporal, Chukwu Ebuka, has been arrested in Imo State for his alleged involvement in an armed robbery that reportedly resulted in the theft of ₦4.9 million.
The soldier, reportedly attached to the 14 Brigade in Ohafia, was apprehended during the operation. Authorities found him in possession of two axes and handcuffs, items allegedly used to carry out the crime.
According to reports, Ebuka has confessed to the robbery and pleaded for mercy following his arrest.
