No Fighting in NDC Over Campaign Council — Kwankwasiyya Spokesman

ABUJA — The Kwankwasiyya Movement has dismissed reports of internal crisis within the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), insisting that the party’s presidential candidate Peter Obi, vice presidential candidate Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso, and other stakeholders are working harmoniously to build a credible campaign council for the 2027 elections .

CDA News Nigeria gathered that the Spokesman for the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Dr. Habibu Sale Mohammed, made the remarks in a telephone interview with PUNCH Online on Monday . He stated that there is no in-house fighting over campaign structures or any related matters .

“I want to make it clear to you that there is no in-house fighting in NDC as regards any campaign structure or what have you,” Mohammed said . “Both the presidential candidate and his running mate and the party leader, together with other stakeholders, are actually working hand in hand to ensure they have a credible campaign council that will lead the party to success” .

CDA News Nigeria reports that Mohammed dismissed allegations of crisis, clarifying that the establishment of a recent reconciliation committee had nothing to do with infighting but rather aimed to address concerns of contestants who lost in the primary elections . “That one is also part of the move by the party to make sure that those that have lost in the primary elections or who could not emerge as the candidates of the party were persuaded to feel that they are part of the party,” he explained .

According to him, such reconciliation committees are normal across all political parties and do not signify internal conflict . “There is no division or infighting in the house,” he reiterated .
