A political analyst, Tony Icheku, has issued a scathing critique of Rep. Obi Aguocha’s three-year tenure, describing it as a “crisis of inferiority confidence” fueled by envy and hatred toward the Orji political family.
Obi Aguocha’s crisis of inferiority stems from his “spectacular failure” as a lawmaker, Icheku claims. The analyst alleges Aguocha has no credible scorecard in lawmaking, representation, or constituency intervention projects. He cited the unaccounted federal government rice palliative from late 2023, valued at over N600 million, which Aguocha allegedly neither distributed nor accounted for.
The critique also noted that Aguocha failed to attract any capital project to his constituency, with none of his bills advancing beyond second reading. His campaign promises, including creating a second local government and state constituency for Ikwuano, are described as “empty, bogus pledges.”
Instead of addressing these shortcomings, Icheku argues, Aguocha has resorted to “envy-driven attacks” on Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, the APC Flagbearer for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency. The analyst accused Aguocha of being the source of false accusations against the Orji family while cowardly refusing to testify as a principal witness.
Icheku contrasted Aguocha’s performance with Orji’s record of “transformational and proactive leadership,” asserting that voters will favor leaders who deliver tangible results.
“Obi Aguocha should stop being envious. Hatred is self-consuming. He should learn to work for the people and not for his stomach,”
