Osimhen Lobbies Galatasaray To Sign Super Eagles Teammate Arokodare From Wolves As Icardi Exit Looms

Super Eagles captain Victor Osimhen is reportedly urging Galatasaray to sign fellow Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare from Wolverhampton Wanderers ahead of the new season.

With Argentine striker Mauro Icardi set to leave the club at the end of his contract, Galatasaray will be short on attacking options, prompting the need for a reliable backup to Osimhen.

Burak Eren suggests that Osimhen has encouraged the club to sign Arokodare, who has cited Osimhen as a personal inspiration. The two strikers share a good relationship.

Should the move materialise, it would further cement Galatasaray’s status as a destination of choice for Nigerian talent.

Since arriving at Galatasaray, Osimhen has scored an impressive 59 goals in 74 appearances, establishing himself as one of the best centre-forwards in world football and transforming the Turkish club into a globally recognised brand.

There is also the possibility that Galatasaray could propose a loan arrangement for Arokodare, though the full details of any potential deal remain to be seen.

The development adds to an exciting summer of transfer activity surrounding Nigeria’s Super Eagles stars, with Osimhen himself also attracting interest from Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, and Barcelona.
