PDP Suspends Four Senior Officials, Deepening Party Crisis

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended four of its senior officials for one month. The suspension is effective immediately.

Those suspended include the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and the National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade. The National Organising Secretary and the Deputy National Legal Adviser were also suspended.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary announced the decision. He stated the officials have been referred to a disciplinary committee for review. This action aims to restore order within the party.

This move deepens the internal crisis within the PDP. It comes just before a planned national convention.
