Nigeria’s Super Eagles have secured their place in the round of 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Tunisia on Saturday in Fez.
Victor Osimhen opened the scoring with a powerful header in the 44th minute, followed by captain Wilfred Ndidi’s first international goal early in the second half. Ademola Lookman added a third in the 67th minute to put Nigeria in control.
Tunisia staged a late comeback with goals from Montassar Talbi and Ali Abdi from a penalty, but the Super Eagles held on despite tense added time to claim all three points.

The Eagles will face Uganda in their final group match on Tuesday, while Tunisia will take on Tanzania.
