PDP Tells Keyamo to Keep Quiet: ‘You Lack the Moral Authority to Counsel Goodluck Jonathan on 2027’

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has launched a sharp rebuke against Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), describing him as morally unqualified to offer political advice to former President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The opposition party, in a strongly worded statement, reminded Keyamo of his political journey — from a vocal critic and legal activist who championed anti-corruption causes under previous administrations, to a serving minister in the All Progressives Congress (APC) government — arguing that his trajectory disqualifies him from lecturing others on political integrity.

“Keyamo should focus on fixing Nigeria’s airports. He has no moral authority whatsoever to advise President Jonathan on anything.” — PDP statement.

The PDP’s broadside signals heightening political tensions as major parties begin manoeuvring for the 2027 electoral cycle, with Jonathan’s next political move remaining a subject of intense speculation.

Keyamo’s camp was yet to respond to PDP’s statement at press time. CDA News Nigeria will provide updates as this political spat develops.
