PORT HARCOURT – In a significant political show of force, the “Renewed Hope Ambassadors” of Rivers State were officially inaugurated on Friday in a grand ceremony that saw a powerful coalition of political leaders unite in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
The event, held at the Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, was attended by a high-powered delegation including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike, members of the Rivers State Elders Forum led by Chief Ferdinand Alabaraba, all National and State Assembly members from the state, all federal board appointees of the President, and all local government council chairmen, deputies, and councillors.
Remarkably, the event featured solidarity speeches from both the Rivers State PDP Chairman, Mr. Aaron, and the Rivers State APC Chairman, Chief Tony Okochi, alongside their party executives down to the ward level. They jointly applauded FCT Minister Wike and vowed that both parties would deliver “double” the electoral support to President Tinubu in 2027.
The ambassadors praised President Tinubu for awarding key projects to Rivers State, including the Bodo-Bonny Road, the Federal University of Environment and Technology in Tai LGA, the Kaa-Ataba Bridge, the Borikiri-Okrika Bridge, a General Hospital in Port Harcourt, and a solar lighting project. The coordinators for the three senatorial districts, including Amb. Desmond Akawor, were also inaugurated.
