The South East Young Leaders Consultative Forum (SEYLCF) has praised former United States President Donald Trump for authorizing airstrikes against terrorist targets in Sokoto State, describing the military action as a “Christmas gift” to Nigeria.
In a statement issued by the Forum’s National Leader, Comrade Chinweuba Anyaragbu, the group commended Trump for “coming to the rescue of Nigerian Christians” and taking decisive steps against terrorists who have targeted innocent civilians.
The forum’s reaction adds to the growing national and international responses following the U.S. military intervention, which was carried out in coordination with Nigerian authorities.
Comrade Anyaragbu emphasized that the strikes represent significant support for Nigeria’s fight against terrorism and religious persecution, particularly in the northern regions.
The South East Young Leaders Consultative Forum is a youth-based organization advocating for good governance, security, and the interests of young people in Nigeria’s Southeast region.
