Supporters of Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji have intensified calls for his emergence as the next representative of Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia South Federal Constituency, describing him as a leader with the experience and capacity to attract development to the area.
In a political statement circulated across the constituency, supporters highlighted Orji’s tenure as Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, pointing to legislative reforms, institutional development and stakeholder engagement during his time in office.
The group also expressed concerns over what they described as inadequate federal representation and limited visible constituency projects in recent years. According to them, the constituency requires stronger engagement in the federal budget and appropriations process to attract infrastructure and development initiatives.
They argued that Orji’s legislative experience and political network position him to effectively represent the interests of the constituency at the National Assembly.
The development adds to the growing political conversations ahead of future electoral contests in Abia State.
