The Federal Government has arraigned three suspects in connection with the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State, marking a significant step in the prosecution of the high-profile kidnapping case.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the suspects were brought before a competent court on charges related to terrorism, kidnapping, and other offences arising from the incident. The prosecution alleged that the defendants played roles in the abduction, while the court commenced proceedings in accordance with due process.
The case stems from the kidnapping of pupils and teachers from a school in Oyo State, an incident that attracted nationwide concern and renewed calls for stronger security around educational institutions.
During the court session, the prosecution presented the charges against the defendants, while the accused entered their pleas. The court subsequently adjourned the matter to a later date for the commencement of trial.
