Troops Clear Terrorist Camps, Repel Attacks in Timbuktu Triangle

Troops of the Joint Task Force North East, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have recorded significant successes in ongoing operations in the Timbuktu Triangle, clearing multiple terrorist camps and repelling coordinated attacks.

In a statement issued on Monday by Lt. Col. Sani Uba, Media Information Officer for the operation, it was disclosed that troops conducted intelligence-led offensives on Sunday across identified terrorist enclaves including Chilaria, Garin Faruk, and Abirma.

Scores of Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists were neutralized during the operations, with others fleeing with gunshot wounds.

Troops also recovered arms, ammunition, communication equipment, terrorist flags, medical supplies, and logistics storage items, significantly degrading the operational capacity of the insurgents.

During the advance, troops repelled two armed drone attacks launched by the terrorists, maintaining operational momentum and dominance in the area.

The Military High Command affirmed the continuation of operations to eliminate terrorist threats and restore lasting peace in the North East.
