Nigerian military troops have carried out a major operation in Sububu Forest, Zamfara State, neutralizing several armed bandits and rescuing kidnapped victims.
According to security sources, the operation targeted bandit hideouts within the forest, leading to a fierce exchange of fire. A number of bandits were killed during the raid, while others fled with gunshot wounds.
Multiple kidnapped individuals were safely rescued and have been handed over to authorities for medical attention and reunification with their families.
The operation is part of the ongoing military offensive to restore peace and security in Zamfara and other states plagued by banditry and kidnapping.
