OBORO, NIGERIA — The convener of the For Us By Us movement, Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu, played host to the Ikwuano graduates forum at his country home, the White House, in Amaba Oboro, Ikwuano Local Government Area, for a strategic deliberation on the future of education in the area .
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the high-level meeting brought together young graduates, intellectuals, and stakeholders from across Ikwuano to discuss actionable strategies aimed at rebuilding and repositioning the educational sector in the community .
Themed “Ikwuano Have a Bright Future,” the deliberation focused on identifying key challenges facing education in Ikwuano and proffering sustainable solutions that would empower the next generation of leaders .
Speaking at the event, Ishionwu emphasized that the future of Ikwuano rests on the quality of education its young people receive today. He called for collective effort from all sons and daughters of Ikwuano, both at home and in the diaspora, to invest in the educational advancement of the community .
“We cannot afford to sit back and watch our educational system decline. The future of Ikwuano is bright, but that brightness must be nurtured through deliberate investment in our schools, our teachers, and most importantly, our students. This forum is a第一步 towards ensuring that every child in Ikwuano has access to quality education,” Ishionwu stated .
The graduates forum expressed appreciation to Ishionwu for his hospitality and commitment to the cause of Ikwuano development. They pledged to work with his leadership and other stakeholders to ensure the implementation of the strategic plans developed during the meeting .
The event concluded with a resolution to establish a task force that will oversee the execution of the education roadmap, with regular progress reviews to ensure accountability and measurable impact .
