Umuariaga Ekpe Cultural Group Visits ADC Chieftain Nnochiri, Performs at Country Residence

The Umuariaga Ekpe cultural group paid a festive visit to the country residence of Chief Chukwunma Victor Nnochiri, an ADC chieftain and Abia Central senatorial hopeful, on January 14, 2026, as part of their annual Ekpe festival celebration.

The event, held at Ama Mbaraama Ukwu in Umuariaga, Oboro community, Ikwuano Local Government Area, featured the traditional Ekpe masquerade performing with an excellent display, including the ceremonial cutting of a goat.

Chief Nnochiri expressed his pleasure at the visit, commending the group for making the Umuariaga community proud through the preservation and vibrant performance of their cultural heritage.

“EKPE UMUARIAGA buru Sam. To God be the glory,” read part of a message celebrating the occasion, which highlights the intersection of cultural tradition and community engagement in the region.
