OSOGBO — Voting has ended across Osun State, with sorting and counting underway at polling units as the first results begin to emerge from different parts of the state.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that Governor Ademola Adeleke, candidate of the Accord Party, expressed confidence in emerging victorious after casting his vote at Sagba Abogunde Ward 2, Unit 9, in Ede North Local Government Area. The APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, also voted at his Ward 09, Unit 011, in Ikire, Irewole LGA, and expressed confidence in victory.
CDA News Nigeria reports that early results from Osogbo Local Government Area show the Accord Party leading the APC. At Ward 4, Unit 39, Accord polled 65 votes against APC’s 43 votes. At Ward 4, Unit 13, Accord secured 134 votes compared to APC’s 75 votes.
The African Democratic Congress governorship candidate, Najeem Salaam, raised concerns over the alleged non-recognition of his party agents in several areas across the state. As of 5:19 pm, INEC’s IReV portal had uploaded 1,340 out of 3,763 polling units. The commission has pledged to upload results in real-time.
