LAGOS — Arise Television’s The Morning Show anchor, Rufai Oseni, has warned Nigerians not to assume that the outcome of the 2026 Osun State governorship election will be replicated in the 2027 general elections, cautioning that federal might will be deployed on a much larger scale .
CDA News Nigeria gathered that Oseni, speaking on Monday, said his warnings ahead of the Osun election were intended to help voters understand the risks involved rather than scare them . “Last week, when I was telling the people the challenges they would face, it was not to scare them. No, I believe in telling the people the truth so that they know how to react to dangers,” he said .
CDA News Nigeria reports that the journalist stressed that the 2027 elections will be fundamentally different, adding that the federal might used in Osun and failed will be deployed “three times over” with improved execution . “If you think because Osun people stood up, it will be easy in 2027, you are foolish. You are delusional. 2027 is going to be different from Osun,” Oseni warned .
He added that those who were unable to execute their plans in Osun will “go back to the drawing board and try to perfect it” .
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had on Sunday declared Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party the winner of the Osun governorship election, defeating Bola Oyebamiji of the APC .
