KADUNA — Posters promoting former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi for the 2027 presidential election have surfaced across major streets in Kaduna, igniting early political speculation and public attention.

The posters, spotted along Ahmadu Bello Way, Ali Akilu Road, near the Kaduna State Government House, and around the Kawo Bridge axis, describe Amaechi as “the only person to be trusted” and “the only man for the job,” emphasizing unity, stability, and development.

CDA News gathered that the appearance of the posters slowed traffic in some areas as motorists and pedestrians paused to view them. Amaechi, who holds the traditional title Dan Amanan Kasar Hausa of Daura, has not made any formal declaration regarding 2027.

Amaechi previously contested the APC presidential primary in 2022, placing second behind President Bola Tinubu. The posters suggest early mobilisation and testing of political waters in Nigeria’s North-West, a crucial voting bloc.

While it remains unclear whether the posters were authorised by Amaechi or his associates, they have successfully stirred public debate about the upcoming electoral contest.
