The Executive Mayor of Ikwuano Local Government Area, Dr. Anthony Nzeribe Nwaubani, represented by the Supervisory Councilor for Education, Hon. Mrs. Goodness John, commissioned a newly reconstructed 3-classroom block at Umuariaga Primary School on January 20, 2026.
The project was initiated and executed by the Umunna Community Development Initiative. During the ceremony, appreciation was extended to Governor Alex Otti for his commitment to education and to the Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) Chairman, Lady Lydia Onuoha, for her support.
The Mayor praised the Umunna Community Development Initiative, led by High Chief Prof. Moses Nwosu, for its impactful interventions in education, healthcare, and community development. He reiterated the council’s willingness to collaborate on grassroots development projects and assured proper management of the school facility.
Traditional rulers, community stakeholders, and school staff attended the event.
