Lagos CP Deploys Drones, Assesses Security at Pan-Atlantic University Over Masked Men Video

Lagos State Commissioner of Police Olohundare Jimoh has conducted an on-the-spot security assessment at Pan-Atlantic University, Lekki, following the circulation of a viral video showing two masked individuals emerging from a forest area adjoining the institution.

CP Jimoh visited the university alongside operational personnel to evaluate the security situation and reassure students, staff, and parents of measures being taken to ensure safety.

During the assessment, the commissioner met with university management and advised on strengthening perimeter protection, access control, and collaboration with security agencies. He cautioned against actions that could weaken existing security structures.

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund has deployed surveillance drones to support law enforcement around the university and neighbouring communities. The aerial surveillance is expected to enhance intelligence gathering and crime prevention in the area.

Jimoh reaffirmed the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property, urging the university community to report suspicious activities promptly. He encouraged residents to use the command’s emergency lines for security-related incidents.

The viral video had sparked public concern, prompting swift intervention by authorities to bolster security around the institution and its environs.
