Ikwuano/Umuahia Constituency Backs Chinedum Orji for Federal House Over Proven Scorecard

Constituents from Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia South Federal Constituency have thrown their weight behind Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji (Ikuku) for the Federal House of Representatives, citing an extensive scorecard of projects, legislative initiatives, and empowerment programmes.

The endorsement follows a review of over 130 documented achievements spanning water infrastructure, road construction, education, healthcare, and lawmaking.

Ikwuano Umuahia backs Chinedum Orji for Federal House based on 24 drilled and reticulated water projects across communities including World Bank Estate, Finbarrs Road, Umuagom, and Afara Correctional Centre. Constituents also highlighted eight mini stadiums of 1,000–1,500 capacity built across the constituency.

On roads, 37 reconstructed roads and link routes were cited, including the strategic Mbom Afarata Ibeku to Ubani Emede Ibeku link road, which provides a direct bypass to Ubani International Market.

Residents also noted 17 renovated schools, including the School of the Blind, Afara, and 28 electrification projects with transformers installed across communities.

Healthcare initiatives included free eye and medical outreaches, while empowerment programmes saw over 500 youths trained in ICT, scholarships awarded to 100 indigent students, and start-up capital, vehicles, and tricycles gifted to entrepreneurs.

Legislatively, the 7th Abia Assembly under Orji’s speakership passed landmark laws including the VAPP Law, Disability Commission Law, and Female Right of Inheritance Law.

“Obi wave will not return the current member who wasted three years without meaningful projects,” constituents declared, insisting Orji’s track record speaks for itself.
