Rejected Ballot Papers More Popular Than Sowore — APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed a request by the African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, to launch his 2027 campaign at the Presidential Villa.

CDA News Nigeria gathered that Sowore, via his social media handle on Thursday, asked the Presidency for permission to use the Villa for his campaign flag-off, a move that sparked widespread reactions online.

Reacting on Thursday, the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, described the request as comic relief and a desperate attempt to gain relevance. Morka stated that Sowore’s political weight is so insignificant that “rejected ballot papers are more popular” than his AAC.

Morka added that the Presidential Villa is a serious institution meant for governance and the implementation of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, not a venue for political stunts.

CDA News Nigeria reports that the APC advised the AAC candidate to focus on building a viable political structure rather than seeking attention through theatrics.

The party reaffirmed that President Tinubu’s administration remains focused on delivering good governance to Nigerians ahead of the 2027 polls.
