Port Harcourt, Rivers State — Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has declared his support for the Wike-led Rainbow Coalition, describing the political alliance as a platform aimed at promoting unity and strengthening democratic participation.
CDA News Nigeria reports that Fubara made the declaration during a political engagement with stakeholders, where he reaffirmed his commitment to working with leaders and members of the coalition in pursuit of peace, stability and development in Rivers State.
According to the governor, the coalition seeks to bring together individuals and groups with a common vision of advancing good governance and fostering political cooperation ahead of future elections.
“I am supporting the Wike-led Rainbow Coalition because I believe it represents a platform for unity and the collective progress of our people,” Fubara was quoted as saying.
Political analysts say the governor’s endorsement could reshape the political landscape in Rivers State, given the influence of both Fubara and former Governor Nyesom Wike. They note that the development may also trigger fresh political alignments as parties and stakeholders prepare for future electoral contests.
More reactions are expected from political parties and stakeholders as discussions surrounding the coalition continue.
