Abuja, Nigeria — Former Senate Leader Teslim Folarin has met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the All Progressives Congress (APC) intensifies consultations and mobilisation ahead of the governorship ambition of Adebayo Alli.
CDA News Nigeria reports that the meeting comes amid ongoing political realignments within the APC as stakeholders strategise ahead of the next governorship election. Party leaders are said to be engaging key figures to strengthen internal unity and build support for the party’s candidate.
According to sources familiar with the development, the discussions focused on party cohesion, grassroots mobilisation and strategies for consolidating the APC’s electoral prospects.
“The meeting is part of ongoing consultations aimed at strengthening the party and ensuring a united front ahead of the governorship race,” a party source said.
Political observers believe the engagement underscores the APC’s efforts to position itself strongly ahead of the election, while party leaders continue consultations with stakeholders across the state.
The APC is expected to continue its mobilisation campaign in the coming weeks as preparations for the governorship contest gather momentum.
