The All Progressives Congress (APC), Abia State Chapter, has officially announced the results of its National Assembly primary elections conducted across the state for House of Representatives and Senate seats ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
In a press release signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Chief Uche Aguoru, the party confirmed that the primaries were conducted peacefully across various federal constituencies and senatorial zones, with Returning Officers led by Erasmus Cishark returning the following winners:
House of Representatives Primary — Saturday, May 16, 2026
Ukwa East/West: Hon. Chris Nkwonta
Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbor: Chief Udo Alozie
Aba North/Aba South: Rt. Hon. Uzo Azubuike
Isiala Ngwa North/Isiala Ngwa South: Chief Uzo Ihuka
Ikwuano/Umuahia: Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji
Isuikwuato/Umunneochi: Rt. Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha
Bende: Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu
Ohafia/Arochukwu: Mr. Ikenna Ukwa
Senatorial Primary — May 18, 2026
Abia North: H.E. Senator Orji Uzor Kalu
Abia Central:Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma
Abia South: Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr.
The party congratulated all successful candidates, expressing confidence in their capacity to deliver people-oriented representation at the National Assembly while advancing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The APC also commended all aspirants, delegates, party officials, and stakeholders for their commitment to a peaceful, transparent, and credible primary process.
