Lagos Trade Fair Management Warns Occupants Against #FreeNnamdiKanu Protest

The management of the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex has urged traders, predominantly of Igbo extraction, not to participate in the planned #FreeNnamdiKanu protest scheduled for Monday, October 20, 2025.

The Executive Director, Erelu Barr. Vera Ndanusa, in a statement, cited the strategic nature of the complex and the potential for the protest to be hijacked by hoodlums, leading to a breakdown of law and order.

Ndanusa highlighted the “adverse economic losses” that would result from even a single day of closure at the massive trade hub. She also referenced a court order obtained by the police restraining the protest organizers, led by Omoyele Sowore.

While acknowledging the right to protest, the management strongly advised occupants to step down any protest activities within the complex to avoid legal repercussions and ensure business continuity.
